Three Years Ago: Revisiting the Harlem Shake

On February 11, 2013, we posted the first lacrosse Harlem Shake.

That YouTube video has been viewed close to 155,000 times.

The Vimeo version has been viewed over 83,000 times. It is the second most viewed lacrosse video on Vimeo. It is just shy of the top spot currently held by a Flow Society video which might be the most miserable news we’ve ever reported during our eight years of blogging.

For comparison’s sake, the Nike Fast or Last commercial hasĀ just over 73,000 views.

Couldn’t have done it without Lax Playground agreeing to release the video before everyone knew what was happening.

The best part of the whole IU Harlem Shake experience was a local news reporter crushing one of the boys’ dance moves (0:49).

“Absolutely going for it without any rhythm at all…”

Not the only time Kevin Moriarty showcased hisĀ elite dance moves.

Best of luck to the Hoosiers in 2016.
